Andrews Logistics, an asset-based transportation and logistics company specializing in bulk liquid and hazardous materials transport, has received the Bulk Carrier of the Year Award from BP Lubricants. Presented during the BP Castrol Carrier Conference, the award recognizes the North Texas-based company for its safety and performance record.
“The bulk industry is historically a high-service segment of the transportation industry. With that being said, Andrews Logistics stood out this year as we evaluated companies for the BP Lubricants Bulk Carrier of the Year Award against the criteria that have been established to measure overall performance,” said Bruce Sharick, who manages the logistics for BP Castrol Lubricants Inc. “We greatly appreciate the commitment, flexibility and willingness to support our needs that the team at Andrews Logistics has provided us.”
BP Castrol based the Carrier of the Year Award selection on six objective criteria that measure the performance of the carrier against expectations. Criteria include: safety performance, on-time pick-up percentage, on-time delivery percentage, acceptance percentage, year-to-year growth and SmartWay participation.
“Our objective is to provide the highest level of service in the safest and most efficient manner possible,” said J. Darron Eschle, chairman and CEO of Andrews Logistics. “We also understand that being successful starts with finding the best people. Great people care about their work, and produce satisfied, loyal customers. I am pleased that BP Lubricants has recognized our efforts with such a prestigious honor.”
